What to Expect
Our skilled sonographers use high-quality ultrasound equipment to provide clear images of your developing baby. The scan itself is quick and painless, typically lasting 10-15 minutes. You will receive a verbal report immediately, and we provide printed images for you to take home.
Please note
The use of abdominal ultrasound prior to 7 weeks gestation can often fail to detect a fetal heartbeat, resulting in an inconclusive assessment of your pregnancy.

FAQs
1. When is the best time to book an early pregnancy scan?
We offer early pregnancy scans from as early as 6 weeks up to 15 weeks. Most parents-to-be choose to book their scan between 7-10 weeks, as this is when the baby's heartbeat is more easily detectable and the embryo is more developed.
2. Will I need a full bladder for the scan?
Yes, we recommend arriving with a moderately full bladder, especially for scans before 10 weeks. A full bladder helps improve the visibility of the embryo or foetus during the scan. However, for later scans, this may not be necessary as the baby becomes more visible.
3. Can I bring someone with me to the scan?
Absolutely. We encourage you to bring a partner, family member, or friend to share in this special experience. However, please check with our clinic ahead of time regarding any current visitor guidelines.
